Join me on this four week course during which we will tune into all that makes you woman. Whether you are still cycling, whether you have started to notice a fluctuation in your cycle and wondering if this is it, perimenopause, whether you are in the midst of symptoms that drive you crazy, make you want to laugh one minute, cry the next, whilst ripping off layers of clothes as you're burning up, only to put them back on shivering with cold, or whether you are out the other side in the full glory of post menopause, I've got you covered! The more a woman is in tune with her cycle, the better her experience of menopause. But what is menstrual cycle awareness and what is perimenopause? If all these terms are leading to confusion and therefore disengagement, this is the course for you. Over the four weeks we will look at each stage of the menstrual cycle and how yoga can support this, we will look at what menopause is and what happens to women's bodies during this right of passage, we will find ways to manage some of the most common symptoms and we will increase longevity with yoga for strength. Why am I combining periods and meno (blood) pause (stop) - well symptoms of PMS can be very similar to menopause and therefore methods used can support both. A lot of this is caused by the impact of progesterone on the body so we will be coming at this from the same direction, I am there to help you segue, one phase to the next. Then post menopause we need to maintain bone density and heart health so our practices will include yoga for strength and dynamic flow for cardio. I have so much to share with you in this four week course, movement, stillness, breath, meditation - it's been designed from extensive research I've completed on the topic and lots of women's yoga teacher training.
