Service Description

Are you ready to try a new way to manage your menopause? Do you want to see how yoga can support your journey but crave a more individual approach? An approach through which you'll be empowered to find new pathways to support, navigate and manage your menopause. Whether you are still cycling, whether you have started to notice a fluctuation in your cycle and wondering if this is it, perimenopause, whether you are in the midst of symptoms that drive you crazy, make you want to laugh one minute, cry the next, whilst ripping off layers of clothes as you're burning up, only to put them back on shivering with cold, or whether you are out the other side in the full glory of post menopause but still have unanswered questions, I've got you covered! Menopause is a rite of passage but each woman’s experience of it is unique. This is why private yoga sessions are ideal as they are designed just for you, your symptoms, your future. During our time together, we’ll be exploring different ways to manage some of the most common symptoms through yoga, breath and shared experience. It’s not all movement based, there will also be time for discussion and guidance. Perimenopause starts before your periods stop, so understanding what your fluctuating cycle means will increase your awareness of when things start to change. Post menopause it's important to maintain bone density and heart health so our practices will include yoga for strength and dynamic flow for cardio. There will also be a restorative practice for dealing with stress and anxiety and an embodied practice to work through any difficult emotions as they arise. I’ve developed my own brand of menopause yoga re:menopause (with reference to menopause). Designed specifically to work with the hormone fluctuations you are experiencing now but at the same time future proofing your body. Interested? Get in touch to find out more.
