Yin, Yang and Sound for Summer

Get ready to shine! Our next seasonal gathering is just before the summer solstice so energy will be at it's peak. This time round the yoga practice will be Yin and Yang, summer solstice we celebrate the longest day (light) before we gradually see the light decline (dark) Yin, dark and Yang, light will help us to balance these opposite energies. Then Viv will suspend you in sound, her gongs and percussion will wash over you in a symphony of sound.

What to expect from the yin/yang practice. During this 60 minute practice you will start slow, build up the heat as we flow through sun, earth and fire namaskar then move into yin postures where you will stay a while. The practice of yang will light your inner flame and yin allows you to slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps alleviate stress and restore your energy levels.

What to expect from the gong bath.  For 60 minutes you will relax on your mat whilst immersed in sound. This practice is highly rejuvenating for the body and brings about an overall sense of relaxation, which can reduce stress.

What will you need. Bring your mat, a blanket, a pillow and any props you like to use, there will be a selection of bolsters, blocks and some eye pillows available to make your experience more comfortable. After both practices we will sit together and share tea and cake, so please bring a mug too.

Bodenham Hall is a beautiful village hall, with wooden floors, mood lighting and most importantly at this time of year, warm. There is some parking but if you could share lifts with a friend that would be even better.
